NOTICE

Sub: Library Orientation / Information Literacy Programme for Students, Scholars, etc

We are happy to announce that central Library has decided to arrange the Library Orientation/Information Literacy Programme for newly admitted students of BTech, MTech, MSc, MBA, PhD Scholars, etc. as well as other existing students to familiarize with library resources for their study and research purpose.

All the Head of the Departments; Faculty i/c of different Labs & Cell/Centres; Hostel Wardens & Gymkhana Members are requested to arrange demo for the BTech, MTech, MSc, MBA, PhD Scholars in small batches and kindly confirm the date& time (in consultation with librarian) for the said programme at their early convenience so that library can make necessary arrangements for the same at the respective departmental Labs/CET Hall/KV Auditorium/Central Library/ Hostels as the case may be.

Further, kindly note that the effective utilization of resources depend upon the awareness for the resources and the renewal of resources depend upon the effective utilization of resources which can be found out from download statistics & our download statistics are not very encouraging. Therefore, Library Orientation / Information Literacy are essential. Therefore, you are requested to look in to this. We are also planning a series of presentations by the publishers also. For the ppt presentation & live demo of the library resources during the Library Orientation / Information Literacy programme, the deptt. Is expected to arrange PC/Laptop with internet connectivity and LCD projector.
